“I started training with Celia to see changes in my body. What I learned instead is that exercise isn’t about changing your body— it’s about becoming stronger, not only physically but mentally. Celia has pushed me when I thought I couldn’t do one more rep, showing me my body is stronger than I believed it to be. What started as a journey to change my body became a process of building strength and working toward goals that fit whatever stage of life I’m in. — Lisa B.”
“I’ve been working out with Celia at Equinox for almost a year. My body is stronger, tighter, and I am more confident that I can bounce back to my ‘better self’. I look forward to our sessions not only because Celia is a great professional and I learn a lot, but also because she has an awesome personality—we work hard and have fun! — Olga K.”
“I injured my knees a few years back working with a personal trainer who wasn’t careful with proper technique. For many months, I was unable to walk comfortably, and thought surgery was inevitable. As a last resort, I decided to find a more qualified personal trainer, and it was the best decision I could’ve made. Since working with Celia, my knee pain has virtually disappeared. I can even jog again! I’m 53 years old and have never been in such great shape. Besides having a warm and engaging personality, Celia is meticulous about proper technique (to avoid injury), and she has an intuitive understanding of how to customize fitness programs that honor her clients individual needs and goals. She’s also very encouraging, and a lot of fun to spend time with! I’m so grateful that I found her, and I can’t recommend her enough to anyone looking to improve their strength, confidence, and vitality. — Tiffani H.”
Testimonials
“I met Celia Rubenstein over a year ago at Equinox in Armonk NY. I started working with her 2x per week to build muscle strength, stamina, and endurance. I had not been in a gym in 30 years. I was used to doing Zumba and Jazzercise classes but I broke my ankle over 3 years ago and did not want to jump on my ankle anymore. From the moment I met her, she was very engaging, professional, very knowledgeable about all the equipment and exercises I had to do to build my confidence and feel good about myself. I knew nothing about how to use weights and all the equipment in this lovely gym. She listened and demonstrated physically, visually, and explained things so I felt comfortable. She listened to my input about what I felt comfortable doing with my ankle injury. She is so patient and has a lovely personality. I think she is an asset to Equinox and especially to me! I would highly recommend her as a trainer. — Amy S.”
